This color wheel is a building block for all artists. There are many reasons for this, this color wheel shows the saturation of how bright and dull colors can be. It shows the hue of what colors can be. It can show how much light and dark you can find in these colors. It also helps with color schemes and groups. In almost every painting or piece of art there is a color scheme, it could be monochromatic which is one color through out but in different hues. There is a triad color scheme which is three colors on the color wheel that make a triangle. There is complimentary which is two colors that sit across from each other. There is split complementary which is 1 base color and then 2 hues of the opposite base color. This color wheel and colors in general are also important because if done right it can transform your art into a story. If colors are placed in a certain spot you will be able to control the viewers eyes into where they look. You can have them start in one corner and work their way around the whole piece if wanted.
